这是一部又严肃又搞笑的战争片，从一个孩子的视角看待二战末期的纳粹德国。男主角是一个天真可爱的10岁小男孩，也是一个狂热的纳粹分子。他在脑中假想出了一个傻傻的滑稽搞怪的希特勒，帮助他、鼓励他、作他的精神领袖。而他的妈妈（寡姐饰演）秘密为抵抗军工作，在家中偷偷藏了一个犹太女孩。有一天，纳粹小男孩意外发现了藏在储物柜的犹太女孩，故事就这样开始了......
